Abstract

This article deals with the philosophy of creativity by N. Berdyaev. The problem of creativity by Berdyaev acquires a very specific, far from the orthodox meaning. Berdyaev’s concept deals with some new, the third insight, which is given to man through creativity. The center of this insight is not God as the absolute, but the agent of creativity. Berdyaev discloses three stages in the evolution of humanity: the ethics and principle of the law (Old Testament), the ethics of redemption (New Testament) and absolute ethics and the triumph of freedom in creativity. According to Berdyaev, creativity is a discovery of a divine nature of man and therefore the way of creativity is also a way to overcome “the world”; it is the acme of spiritual freedom and godly grace, the ultimate ascend of man to the truth and goodness.
