Current social policy issues of a religious group jehovah's witnesses against Russian state and society (based onthe book "Thoroughly witness to the Kingdom of God")

Abstract

The article is devoted to understanding the
problems of ideology and social practices of Jehovism under
current conditions of Russian confessional field. The urgency
of attention to modern doctrinal texts of the organization of
«Jehovahs Witnesses» in Russia is due to a complicated situation
formed around the controversial religious movement.
The purpose of this study is to examine possible strategies
and tactics of Jehovahs Witnesses applied at the present
stage of development of Russian religious space, and to identify
possible prospects for relations between the state and the
religious organization by analysing the texts of the latest editions
studied at prayer meetings of «Jehovahs Witnesses»
on the territory of Trans-Baikal region.
