THE ISSUE OF INDIVIDUAL SOVEREIGNTY IN MASS COMMUNICATION SOCIETY

Abstract

The article examines the impact of mass communication on individual sovereign space and reveals ongoing peculiarities of this impact. The author discloses the role of these peculiarities in the attacks of mass communication media on society and individuals. Individual sovereignty is considered as a fundamental value underlying the positive development of social processes. It is proposed to build a system of free personal participation in mass communication process, to inculcate the taste of freedom and raise the ability to preserve independence of judgment and assessments while perceiving the bulks of information produced by mass media.
